Cuisinart ICE-20
1-1/2-Quart Automatic Ice Cream Maker

Cuisinart ice cream makers seem to be the most popular brand on the market at the moment. A combination of style, quality and price meeting to find the sweet spot in consumers affections.

There are four model in the current Cuisinart ice cream maker range, three motor powered gel canister types, the ICE 20, ICE 30 BC and the ICE 40 BK and a built in compressor/freezer model, the ICE 50 BC.

The most popular model is the ICE 20. Available in red or white, this machine will knock up a batch of 1.5 quarts of ice cream after its gel canister has been in a freezer for 8 hours and has an Amazon price of less than $50.

A step up in size is the ICE 30 BC at two quart capacity. This comes in a brushed stainless steel design and is square in shape.

And now for something completely different. The ICE 40 BK is a two quart machine as well, but the two quarts are achieved by having two, one quart bowls. The idea is that you can make two different flavors of ice cream at the same time.

Lastly, the top of the range Cuisinart ice cream maker is the ICE 50 BC, for those who can't be bothered with messing around with freezing canisters and want instant ice cream making capabilities at the flick of a switch.

The ICE 50 is a 1.5 quart machine in brushed stainless steel that incorporates its own compressor and motor. So, besides from putting the ingredients into the bowl, setting the timer and switching the unit on, the only other thing you will have to do is enjoy eating the ice cream.

All Cuisinart ice cream machines come with a limited 3-year warranty.
